ABOUT US
Jennifer N. Shannon (@writerjns) is a writer + artist + curator. She has written and published three books and has had her poetry and short stories published in literary magazines. Most recently, Jennifer's creative nonfiction piece was published in North Dakota Quarterly, she was selected to attend the 2021 Hurston/Wright Foundation Writers Weekend for Fiction and she was a 2022 Poetry Fellow of The Watering Hole. Jennifer was also a 2022 Baker Award finalist for Literary Arts.
In addition to writing, Jennifer also curated the virtual exhibit, REVOLT: Black Joy Still Exist, It Always Will and the 2022 in-person exhibit, Black Joy is My Protest. Both exhibits featured artists from across the country and showcased Black Joy in unique and creative ways. The latest exhibition, Black Joy Is My Protest was displayed at Busboys and Poets in Baltimore, MD and was supported in part by the Maryland State Arts Council.

Tyrone N. Manning (@beachboyfresh) is a marketer + event producer + DJ. He is a Jersey City native and music is his coffee! In his role at the NJ Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), he co-produced the Sonic Superstars DJ series which featured D-Nice, Pete Rock, Prince Paul and others. Ty is a former member of the Arsht Center’s marketing team (2013-18), and during his time in Miami, he hosted and produced The BeachBoyFresh Radio Show on Jolt Radio.
