Black Joy Is My Protest In-Person Exhibition Submission Guidelines (CLOSED)
Black Joy Is My Protest is a follow-up to the REVOLT: Black Joy Still Exists, It Always Will virtual exhibit. This in-person event will expand on that theme and highlight Black Joy as a Form of Protest.
Guidelines are below:

must relate to black joy as a form of protest

open to anyone who identifies as black, across the globe
-
previously unpublished work
-
types of work accepted: poetry, visual art, photography, film, dance, creative nonfiction (word limit 700) and any other art form that shares your best representation of Black Joy Is My Protest

poetry no more than 25 lines
-
film and dance no more than 3 mins
-
no more than three pieces per submission
-
include a brief summary of why you are submitting to the Black Joy Is My Protest exhibition

only submit once
-

* Photographs should be high quality images (at least 300 dpi) or they will be ineligible.
** The in-person exhibition will be held in Maryland, however travel expenses to attend the exhibit will be the responsibility of the artist.
